This week I have been having fun with noise and giving a few English expressions that you can practice on your own throughout your day.
During my radio show a friend called me on my cell phone. So, I called him back after the show. Some years ago, he and I had been in a theatre troupe in Kyoto together.
He had bad news. One of the members who had been in the group committed suicide last week. She had moved back to Australia awhile ago.
I thought about noise.
Sometimes the noise in our heads, hearts, souls, body–gets to be too loud.
Remember that–Sometimes the noise in our heads, hearts, souls, body–gets to be too loud.
We get angry/hurt/upset because we think we are not smart, not good-looking, not talented.
NOISY Thought==I am not smart.
NOISY Thought===I am not talented.
NOISY Thought=====I am not good at….
NOISY Thought=======I am not…..
Stop NOISY Thoughts!
Tell those NOISY thoughts====
Get out of here Noisy Thoughts! Go Away Noisy Thoughts! Get Lost Noisy Thoughts!
Sometimes we cry—that is OK—when you finish crying—
BE NICE TO YOURSELF–have a nice cup of tea, read a wonderful book, take a walk. Take time to find peace and quiet.
YOU ARE GREAT. Be kind to yourself!
Have a good one!
